1.  On Friday afternoon Jennifer and Nancy will head to City Clerk's office in Manhattan to be legally married before a judge.

Same-sex marriage became legal in NY State on July 24, 2011, and recognized on a federal level on June 26, 2013.  We are so grateful to the people who have long fought and advocated for our rights as a committed couple and we are excited to move forward in our lives together with the protections we all deserve.

2.  4:00PM  We invite friends and family to meet us on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge to have a walking procession across the bridge to our party in Brooklyn.

What to expect?

We'll gather at the corner of Centre and Chambers Streets, next to City Hall Park (across the street from BK Bridge pedestrian entrance).  At 4pm we'll begin a joyful parade across the bridge *weather permitting.  The walk is about 1.5 miles, so bring comfortable walking shoes.

We've built our home together in Brooklyn. We're excited to celebrate here and to share this special place with all of you.

3. 5:00PM Festive welcoming party in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

What to expect?

We'll gather at Jane's Carousel and walk around the park for some photo ops. There will also be some amazing music you won't want to miss.

A fun fact : This carousel was built in 1922 for the Idora Park Amusement Park in Youngstown, Ohio, and Nancy's Aunt Kathe rode it as a young girl. It has since been beautifully restored and is now a landmark on the Brooklyn waterfront.

3.  6:00PM  We invite the adults to join us for a ceremony and party at Powerhouse Arena.

What to expect?

There will be an open bar and a floating supper made up of heavy passed hors d'oeuvres to fill your tummies. We'll have a standing ceremony, with limited seating for those who need it.

Powerhouse Arena is an awesome local bookstore and we are thrilled to have our party in this space. It's conveniently located across the street from Brooklyn Bridge Park.
